- Asian markets mixed overnight with South Korea, Taiwan, and Australia the better performers while Hong Kong and Japan ended lower.
- European markets mostly weaker though Germany bucking the trend. Treasuries mostly firmer with some curve flattening.
- Dollar a bit better euro, little changed vs yen, but lagging sterling.

- Gold up 0.6% after gaining nearly 1.5% yesterday.
