Major US equity indexes on track to finish mostly lower this week though there has been a lot going on beneath the surface as a number of pro-cyclical pockets of the market and heavily shorted names have seen strong gains while growth and momentum plays have tended to lag.
- Asian markets mixed overnight with Japan and Taiwan among the laggards while Hong Kong was higher.
