It’s Summer, Just Show me the Charts

Jul 9, 2019

Thomas Thornton

I used to have a director of research who would put it very blunt.  "It's Summer, just show me the charts.  Not much to discuss with Powell speaking tomorrow.  Bonds fading a little today and stocks mixed to flat.  We'll know a lot more about the next leg tomorrow with Powell.  By the way GS, BOFA, CITI, and MS questioning the need for the Fed to cut in July.  Perhaps if tomorrow they had to decide but earnings will be very important.  So far some major companies around the world have reported weak earnings or have guided down.  If this becomes a trend in the next 2 weeks then a cut will happen.  I'll leave you with the charts.  Happy Summer
